IFOAM Survey

Dear ladies and gentlemen

IFOAM Organic Europe and FiBL are currently working on a project on pesticide residues in organic products. The goal is to understand how residues arrive on organic products, how residue findings are managed and, ultimately, how the situation could be improved. The results will be used by IFOAM for advocating towards the EU Institutions on behalf of the organic sector and movement. With this questionnaire, companies and control actors can communicate their current experiences in the field.

The project Pesticide contamination: ensuring favourable environment for organic operators through EU legislative frameworks from the IFOAM Organics Europe has a high relevance for all stakeholders for the further development of the legal framework.

As part of this project, we carry out this survey. It is addressed to the relevant companies, control bodies, control authorities and competent authorities. The survey aims to better understand how residue findings are handled, and which residues occur most frequently on which products. The survey is limited to plant-based foods (including mushrooms).

The questionnaires will be treated by FiBL in an anonymous way and in compliance with the applicable data protection legislation, including the GDPR. Results will only be published in an anonymous and aggregated way. No personal Data will go to IFOAM or other actors in the sector. And inferences to single businesses or persons are not possible.  Your participation in this questionnaire is voluntary and you can withdraw your consent anytime by writing an e-mail to or

We are therefore very pleased about your participation in this survey which will take approximately 1-2 hours.
