Impact of new EU organic Regulation in Third Countries (for groups, producers & traders)

This survey on the expected impacts of the new EU organic regulation N° 2018/848 in Third Countries is for organic groups, producers and traders outside the EU. It is conducted by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL in collaboration with IFOAM-Organics International.

Your participation in this survey is essential to better understand the coming effects of the new EU organic regulation N° 2018/848 on international organic smallholder supply chains in developing and emerging countries and the EU organic market. The survey results are used by FIBL in a global study on the expected impacts of the regulation, which is conducted with financial support by the Swiss State Secretariate for Economic Affairs SECO. A summary of results will be presented at Biofach 2024.

This version of the survey is for organic producer groups, producers, processors and traders in developing and emerging third countries.  If you are another type of stakeholder, please select a different version.

The survey is designed for representatives/managers of certified operations and will take about 20-25 minutes.

It is possible to answer only part of the questions, but it would be very helpful if you could provide at least key information about your organisation (section 2) and it's very important that you click "next" through the survey to save your answers, even if you do not answer all questions.

IMPORTANT: Your answers will only be saved once you click the "next" button to change to next section and "submit" at the end of the survey. Even if you only answer part of the questions, please click "next" to go through all sections and "submit" at the end. Or you can click on "resume later" at top right corner of the survey window. Thank you!

Note: Don't worry if you are not yet familiar with the regulatory changes, your participation will still be very helpful and may help you to familiarize with coming changes.

Update January 2024: the survey data to present at Biofach has been extracted in early January, but survey responses are still welcome for the study report until 15th of March 2024
